Jim buys Pam a teapot and Pam gives up an iPod. Season 2, Episode 10, "Christmas Party" Jim finally gets Pam in the Office Secret Santa and buys a thoughtful gift stuffed with inside jokes and a note confessing his feelings because "Christmas is the time to tell people how you feel." But when Michael perverts Secret Santa into Yankee Swap, Pam opts for an iPod and Dwight winds up with Jim's thoughtful gift. In the end, Pam sacrifices the expensive iPod for Jim's meaningful present, but unfortunately he steals back his note before their romance is pushed further. However, this comedy of errors brings the emotions sizzling under the surface to a higher level.2. Bob Vance showers Phyllis with gifts. Season 2, Episode 16, "Valentine's Day" Phyllis thought her time for romance was gone, but Bob Vance, Vance Refrigeration proves her wrong by sending a ridiculous amount of gifts to her on V-Day (much to the despair of the other office ladies who receive nothing). The gifts include a giant teddy bear much larger than Phyllis although not quite as large as Kevin. It's sweet to see the much neglected and sometimes abused Ms. Lapin get some attention.3. Angela gives Dwight a bobblehead and he gives her a key. Season 2, Episode 16, "Valentine's Day" ![]() When Angela totally rocks the house and gets Dwight the best present he's ever gotten (a bobblehead where he's the bobblehead), he struggles to find the perfect gift to give her in return. After seeking Pam's advice and considering a ham and a poem with the phrase "evil like a hobbit", he decides on a key to Schrute Farms. It shows how well they know and care about each other, despite what an odd couple they are. 4. Dwight takes the fall for Angela Season 3, Episode 12, "Traveling Salesmen" ![]() When Angela forgets to turn in the very important tax forms to corporate, Dwight becomes her knight in shining armor and drives the reports to New York. This prompts Angela to actually grin and figure out that "he really just likes her a lot." Unfortunately, MIchael is suspicious of Dwight's late arrival and visit to corporate and orders him to tell him what he was doing or be fired. Since revealing his purpose at corporate would mean revealing his relationship with Angela (which his lady love would hate), he chooses to resign his beloved job instead of displeasing Angela. 5. "It's A Date" Season 3, Episode 23, "The Job" ![]() Jim leaves his dream job and girlfriend in New York to rush back to Scranton and FINALLY ask Pam out on a date. Busting in on her talking head, he asks her out to dinner leaving Pam flustered, teary but very happy. Just like all the fans! 6. Andy woos Angela Season 4, Episode 3, "Launch Party" ![]() Andy's idea of romance is often cheesy, misguided, and not well received, but it's the thought that counts. Once he gets his mind set on Angela, he steals her something made of ice in order to ease her party planning anxiety and serenades her with an ABBA song, accompanied by Here Comes Treble via conference call. It's not quite enough to win over the notoriously picky Angela but it's sweet nonetheless. 7. Jim in in love with Italian food. Season 4, Episode 4, "Money" ![]() While they usually try to keep their relationship under wraps at the office, Jim can't control himself from kissing his girlfriend after comforting Dwight over the loss of his. Dwight's pain reminds Jim of when he was pining over Pam and food has no taste, so he can't hold himself back now that he can finally be with her. Slightly embarrassed over the PDA in front of the cameras, Jim admits his love of....Italian food? But the moony smile on their faces tell a different story. 8. Jan and Michael on a runaway train Season 4, Episode 4, "Money" ![]() Jan and Michael are a really odd, dysfunctional couple and we hardly ever get to see why they are together. But when Michael tries to escape his debt, Jan comes to the rescue and tell him why she stays with him. Jan: Michael, no, what I want to say is you were there for me. By my side. Without even a thought. That's just who you are. I mean, no matter how badly I treat you, or what I'm going through, you just, you are there for me. And that is a guy worth staying beside. 9. "Acting! - Lovitz" Season 4, Episode 14, "Goodbye Toby" ![]() There are a lot of really sweet moments between Holly and Michael in their short time together, but this moment is my favorite. As Holly attempts to reassemble her chair, they sit on the floor and flirt awkwardly. But the moment you know they are meant to be together is when they both quote the same lame Jon Lovitz skit and Holly steals Michael's bit of citing the reference. Who would ever guess the pretty new HR rep would be the female version of Michael Scott? 10. Jim proposes to Pam Season 5, Episode 1, "Weight Loss" ![]() After the thwarted proposal attempt in "Goodbye Toby", viewers waited all summer to find out how Jim was going to top live music and fireworks in the place where he first fell in love with Pam. Thousands of roses filling the office? Down on one knee in some romantic New York location? In actuality, the writers gave us some simpler and in my opinion, ten times more perfect for Jim and Pam. They meet halfway between the Office and New York where Pam is studying art as a gas station. Jim drops down on one knee and pops the question in the rain because he just can't wait any longer. ![]() ![]() ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Leave me a comment below, or send me a private message or compliment!
