"Agh, what're you doing?" he asked accusingly. "I was about to wake you up. It's snowing." "Yeah right. This is LA." John said as he rolled over facing away from her. Cameron dropped a snow ball on John's bed in front of his face, causing him to quickly sit up. "What the hell?" "I knew you wouldn't believe me. In the recent recorded history of LA, precipitation, especially in the form of snow, has been negligible. I brought proof." John looked a little more closely at Cameron and noticed the melting frost on her perfect hair. "Hmm." Fifteen minutes later John walked outside. He wore layers of long sleeved shirts and an inadequate jacket, a stand-in for true winter clothing. Understandably neither he nor many others in LA were prepared for such conditions. He looked around unbelievingly at the magical white scenery: tree limbs with snow on top, houses with white roofs, heavily frosted windows, white hills as far in the distance as he could see. His feet burrowed over a foot into the snow, for which thankfully his combat boots sufficed. He turned around to see Cameron. She was wearing typical winter clothes and a cute toboggan. Somehow she had been prepared for this. In great contrast to John, she didn't shiver even a bit at the cold. "Let's go back inside. It's cold out here." "No. We should take advantage of the snow. This is rare." "What? What do you care about snow?" "I like it...I've never seen it before." "Huh." "Let's make an igloo." John just gave her a weird face until she added, "It'll keep you warm." John shrugged and began to roll large balls of snow. They both rolled the snow into a central large mound; the chunks Cameron moved were much larger. Finally with some compacting and shoveling to carve out the inside, it was done. "Not bad." John said. Cameron crawled into the small igloo. "Aren't you going to come inside?" she asked him. Shivering, John gladly took refuge inside the snow structure. It was a tight fit, and he was squeezed right up against Cameron which he found surprisingly warm, not only in the physical sense. He turned his head to face her, and she gave a small smile. After a little while, the conditions outside got worse, cementing them in their current warm location. As time went on, John didn't want to leave. He sat there, huddled up against Cameron and looking at snow flying sideways outside the door. He fell asleep on her shoulder after a time of mesmerizing weather conditions. Somehow he knew the experience had been more than idle warmth-sharing, even to Cameron.
