For me mostly, though as promised via PMs Sandra can post stuff here too.

It's sort of like my thoughts thread.

But it more like stuff I want to post but to lazy to go through the LJ procedures and it's too short to post on FF.net.

Micro's will Cover:

Jameron, Sarah/Derek, Jarah, humor, and parody on the show.

People can comment if they want, but no flames and or judgement if you don't like what Sandra, Tackdriver56 (Elder chieftain is invited too), or I post.

PS. I think this is were I'll post the scripts for the Comic strip, So Freja take notes!

These challenges could be subject to change, if they have been done already. Or if not enough people are interested.

OPTION 1:

Setting: Cameron's future.

Premise: As many of us know, Summer Glau was given an audition monologue where she describes John Connor saving her once, and how she felt about him even though she can't "feel." She cried while delivering this speech. Of course this entire monologue was false, made up by Josh Friedman because Fox wanted to see Summer's emotional range and more "evidence" of her abilities, even though she was playing a Terminator.

Regardless, I thought it would be a fun challenge to write the very story that Cameron describes.

The Challenge: Write a story where Future John rescues Cameron. And she is grateful to him, not just "You can't be trusted anymore." This must be faithful to the monologue, or what we know of it from Summer's interview. However, it must also make sense in terms of a prequel to TSCC. Meaning that Cameron's body cannot be exploded, leaving her John to replace her body with that of a TX or something.

Post limit: 4

Jameron required.

OPTION 2:

SETTING: Automatic For The People

Premise: Many of the events of this episode still occur. Cameron tells John he can't be trusted anymore, Cameron and Sarah go to Serrano Point. The only difference? There is no Riley. What happens to John during this episode when there is no Riley? How does this change his first day back at school? Does he react differently when Cameron comes home?

Alternate microfic challenge (page: 1 2 3)

The original microfic challenges started in the venerable Official Jameron Thread. The fictions that came out of that have always centered on John and Camerons relationship. Since then the idea of writing micro fan fiction in threads has caught on with members who do not want to be confined to just that subject. However, including stories based on other characters and events has, for some, watered down the traditional flavor of the original challenge.

Here we offer an alternate outlet for your creativity. Stories can be written about any character, event or alternate universe pertaining to the series (or the franchise itself). Participants are only bound by the parameters of each individuals challenge. We hope this will encourage writers who have previously not contributed to join in.

So here is the first one:

12/16/09 By R.Daneel_Olivaw

End of Born To Run, Zeira corp basement.

John and Weaver have gone through the TDE. James Ellison has left to find and protect Savannah. Sarah is left alone with Cameron's lifeless endo. Matt Murch enters, and the story begins.

Explain how Sarah gets Murch's cooperation.

Explain how she and Murch escape with Cameron.

Cameron could be introduced, if her program is still in 2009, but John and Weaver are out.

Write a scene where Cameron first attempts to assassinate John in the future. How does she gain access to him? How does she attack? How is she subdued?

If this concept isn’t Jameron enough for you, here’s an alternative:

John and Cameron go to an unusual (for them) place in the course of observing/tailing a possible Kaliba operative. The place could be a Chuck-E-Cheese, a Star Trek convention, a Goth nightclub, etc. Any place they normally wouldn’t go is acceptable. Whether they take any action against the operative, or get sidetracked for whatever reason, is up to you.

Ok, it's my understanding that I'm supposed to come up with the next fanfic idea. Being known for being a Prince of Darkness here, I figured I might as well stay true to form.

St. Augustine was once quoted with, "What I needed most was to love and to be loved, eager to be caught. Happily I wrapped those painful bonds around me; and sure enough, I would be lashed with the red-hot pokers or jealousy, by suspicions and fear, by burst of anger and quarrels."

Since in every real relationship a little rain most fall, I'll go for resolution to a whopper of a fight. After all, relationships that last must go through this. Being an evil writer by nature, here are the terms:

1. It is post Judgment Day, so both have already failed their primary mission. This is called putting gas on the fire.

2. It is a fight after both have been pushed to their emotional / core limits. This means each has done the other at least a percieved wrong. Being one is a human and the other an AI cyborg, they might not have been aware of how they tresspassed on the other's heart / chip. It's important that each has REALLY been offended by the other.

3. There must be a resolution. This could be a temp break up or a full born make up.

4. It must be 3 posts or less.

5. The winning submission must be in by Saturday.

Reap What You Sow

The night was cool as a opaque haze rolled over the cracked and crumbled interstate, giving off an eerie glow from the lights in the distance. The engine of the humvee rumbled rather softly, though it may have just been Second Lieutenant Ford's mind blocking it out as he read through the lines of his tattered old book sitting in his lap.

In the vehicle, a man he had just met today--and yet already trusted him with his life--drove the beaten piece of war machinery in-between the charred skeletons of civilian vehicles, still present two decades after the horrid event known as Judgment Day. It wasn't exactly a sign of reassurance to see all the skeletons of those that died almost instantly, their very skin boiling off their bones and vaporizing into the radiation-filled air.

The explosions in the distance became more apparent as they approached, and Ford looked up as a Resistance battery opened up, shaking the ground even thousands of yards away, and lighting up the sky with bright light for every shot. He remained focused on the sight for a moment, and then returned to his book.

This book was not just any book, though. It was his mother's old Holy Bible, found in the remnants of her small home. Ford knew how many tears he shed over this book, but he remained hopeful about the future. The world had not yet ended. The Rapture didn't happen, and there was no Beast, no six-digit mark. Humanity would win in the end, Ford knew. Humanity has survived, and always would, no matter what it put itself through.

Ford paused as he read through Galatians, chapter 6, noting a verse that just stuck out to him.

"Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for you shall reap whatever you sow."

Reap what you sow: Ford read it over and over. How true of a statement? Humanity reaped what it had sown. "In our panic to protect ourselves, we began the end of ourselves."

The man then laughed maniacally to himself and began biting down on his hand, causing blood to stream down his arm.

Ford looked around at the men nearby, who stared at the man before Ford in disbelief. One of them shook their head and frowned. The removing his teeth from his hand and stood up, screaming nonsense at Ford and spattering blood on him. Ford had enough of it. This guy was beyond help, and needed to be put out of his misery: anybody could see it. He drew his Beretta 92FS from his thigh holster and racked the slide. He aimed, and shot the man right in the head.

All heads turned as the man fell back into the dirt and let out a last breath. For a moment, the battlefield was silent. Ford looked with cold eyes at the man he had just murdered, and suddenly stumbled, placing a palm on his head which quickly started to feel light.

"What have you done?" yelled Ferris, eyes wide in shock. Ford stepped back, and turned to Ferris.
What have I done?" he asked himself...It was now in this moment that he realized the ends didn't justify the means of his actions. In his reverie, Ford looked up and saw the American flag flying towards the West, which slowly began to change direction. Within a moment, the flag was flying towards the South...Towards them...

Ford's jaw dropped.

"The wind..."

He turn towards the horizon and saw the purple flashes of the plasma artillery in the distance. Standing in awe, amidst the chaos of the soldiers soon realizing what was about to happen, Ford remember what he had read just moments ago:

"You reap what you sow."
