The Official Untaint Script for GreaseMonkey Thread

There's a new version by SurfingEagle with an editor and Chrome support. I'm willing to endorse this version. The following is outdated. This thread is for the popular GreaseMonkey user script I wrote. This will be the place where you can hear the latest news and get the latest version or leave feedback. Latest stable version (recommended) Latest beta How to Install Untaint requires the GreaseMonkey add-on for Firefox. You'll need the following if you don't have it already: - Firefox - GreaseMonkey add-on (restart Firefox after installing) - Untaint I recommend you get the Adblock+ add-on as well. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

FeaturesUntaint only affects the discussions/threads section of the wiki. Here's a nearly-comprehensive feature list: -- Various wiki visual tweaks to make ideal use of screen space (compacting and left navigation removed) -- Editable persistent settings -- Optional visual tweaks (modify avatar sizes, remove 'do you find this valuable?') -- User post filter for the user(s) of your choosing -- Enhanced posting (html code generation for links, images, youtube videos, basic formatted text; disabled profanity filtering, disabled html filtering) -- Rudimentary ad removal (Adblock+ will serve you much better though) -- Optional feature to refresh the All Threads list page periodically FAQ How do I post images/links/whatever? When you're posting these options will appear in the floating panel. Click on what you want and fill out the values. Copy the text from the box (make sure you select all) to the post box. I would have made this more automatic if I knew how, but wetpaint's pages are a mess when it comes to messing with that. How can I use this on other wetpaint sites? Go to Tools > Greasemonkey > Manage User Scripts Make sure Untaint is selected on the left. Select each list item in the "Included Pages" box and edit it, replacing "tsccwiki" in each with an asterisk (*). Now the script will run on any .wetpaint.com site. Will you make a Google Chrome version? I've been looking into it, and it's a possibility. I'll let you know if I make any progress. It's difficult to develop for multiple implementations of GreaseMonkey with the differing nuances of each browser. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

ChangelogAny future updates will detail changes that were made here. == Version 1.5 (7/21) == - Aesthethic tweaks made smaller and more efficient. - Added all threads list reload feature. - Changed some defaults. - Now enabled for profile threads. Also, I'd like to add that a significant chunk of the script was written by Gu1 (the code to allow html and profanity posting). It wouldn't have been the same without his contribution. I have a question:When posting a new thread (being the OP), you can't use the "link", "image", "youtube" and "font" tools to easily post images, videos, links or font changing, can you? I mean, I've tried it, but the scripted window doesn't enlarge to show up those tools when you're posting a new thread like it does when your posting a regular reply on a thread, does it? Am I missing something here? If not, could this be on a future update, Toasty? Do you find this valuable? |

"Fixed. "ChangelogToasy, this is going to be a strange request but do you think it would be possible to have an ignore story option in the fanfiction script? Meaning, it wouldn't show stories that I don't want to see? Like I said, strange request...there's just a lot of stuff up there that I can't stand and I would also like to have the site limited to stories that I'd like to read. ETA:I found something that does what I want. http://forums.darklordpotter.net/showthread.php?t=16918 Do you find this valuable? |

"When I click on the first link, it opens a window to a bunch of letters and what not. How do I download that? "Did you restart Firefox after installing GreaseMonkey and before going for the script? If so GreaseMonkey should notice it's a script and ask you if you want to install it. If it doesn't recognize it you can try refreshing the (script) page. Do you find this valuable? |

Toasty, any chance we'll be seeing a update soon? Firefox 4 is almost out of beta and I hate not having the width I had in Firefox 3.
