Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)As more questions come in, we'll add more -Why is the convention in California? (or, I live ____ and CA is so far away!) Los Angeles, California is the best place for the convention. We have better proximity to guests, venues and hotels that are accustomed to fan conventions, and it’s a great place to take a vacation while you’re at it. Pasadena, where the convention will be held, is in proximity to the WB studios and Universal City – which we think will be of great interest to television fans like yourselves – and, of course, to Los Angeles itself. -Who are the guests? Convention guests will be announced as they are confirmed. -How much are tickets? Go to nofatecon.com>Tickets. All passes are considered equal, none of which grant you any preference in seating or other privilege. -Will my ticket cover everything? All attendee passes include access to all convention panels, workshops and vendor areas, but do not guarantee entry to any given panel, workshop as these may be scheduled concurrently and thus may be subject to room limitations. Passes do not include the cost of autographs or photographs charged by guests nor do they include access to events scheduled either outside of the general convention venue or outside the standard convention hours. -Will there be a discount on hotels? Yes. Don’t go booking your hotels just yet. We’ll have a discount block of rooms at a local hotel and we’ll announce their availability here. (cont) Do you find this valuable? |

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) continued-How else can I save money? We’re working on setting up group discount codes with airlines – Air Canada, Delta Airlines and AirTran to help make it easier for attendees flying in. (Including us!) If neither of these airlines apply to you, please comment in the appropriate thread in the forum or if there is no thread, please start one with your airline in the title. If there are enough attendees wishing to use the same airline, we will attempt to procure a group discount code. Please note: We will be keeping statistics on the countries from which attendees are traveling. If we find that these countries are sufficiently diverse, we will attempt to establish a group discount code with Star Alliance. -Are there any discounts for military? Yes. Military, firefighters, police, and children have a discounted price. -Can I volunteer? Of course! We’re currently accepting applications for convention staff. Please email us at nofatecon@gmail.com with your name, contact information and any relevant experience and put “Convention Staff” in the subject line. We’ll be taking on-site volunteers closer to the date, so keep an eye out. -I have a great idea for a panel/activity! Awesome. We’re fans ourselves and we’re doing this for you guys, so we’re definitely open to suggestions for panels, activities, etc. Post about it in the No Fate Con forum (http://www.nofatecon.com/forum). I guess the original thread was deleted due to negative comments? I'd love to go, but sadly it's on the wrong continent. I'd just like to say 'well done'. Well done for actually doing something positive :) I hope all involved in either running the event, or attending it, have a great time. WELL DONE. . 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
