False Memory

Hi,I'm wondering if you can help me with something. I have a memory of a scene in TSCC. Cameron and John are at a shopping mall. A terminator spots them. Cameron "freezes" due to a glitch in her chip. John tries to drag her away but she won't budge. He gives up and hides. The terminator approaches Cameron and is about to attack her. John runs out from his cover and crashes into the terminator, sending him over the ledge. Cameron "wakes up" and is puzzled. John is concerned. They both flee. Later, Cameron feels as if she has let John down. I have just finished watching the series again and was expecting this scene to occur but it never did. This surprised me as I thought the memory was from the show. Does anyone know where it may have come from? I haven't read any fanfics except for a few chapters here and there (been meaning to find the time). Any help with this will be appreciated. I'm baffled. Do you find this valuable?

It's either fanfiction or you dreamt it.

Sounds like you've got some scenes from "The Mousetrap" and "Allison from Palmdale" mixed up in there.

The memory is so vivid. I can literally see the scene in my mind as if I were watching it. If it is a set-piece from a fanfic then kudos to the author for having such an impact on me.I don't think it was from a dream though I can't be certain. I did have a somewhat similar dream recently but this memory is far older than that. Could it be a deleted scene from the DVD? I'll have a look at them tonight though it seems unlikely. I'm at a loss. This is the strangest feeling. @The Dapper Werewolf: No. It's too clear in my memory. I can see it. John saves Cameron from the terminator by putting himself in huge danger.. Maybe it's a deleted scene from the pilot, something that was only on the "making of" part of the DVDs (or online)... maybe it wasn't a shopping mall

@DAVID: Well, maybe not crystal clear as I can't remember the face of the terminator. My feeling is that it was a generic one..@I.Join: I don't think it was from the pilot or the first season as Cameron's chip was playing up. And, it was definitely in a shopping mall. Checked the season two DVD deleted scenes last night but it wasn't there. Will watch the featurettes tonight. I suppose it might have been part of a fanfic that, over time, became a false memory of the TV series. Anyone know which one? Do you find this valuable? |
