Bigbew's fan fiction

In the last two days I have read Bigbew's first two fan fictions, "Just Something I Should Do" and I Wouldn't Be Worth Much If I Couldn't Feel." I enjoyed both of them very much.
I have read some fan fiction that I have liked that focused on big battle scenes and the climatic confrontation with Skynet, but too often I find those stories get get repetitive, with one battle scene followed by another. We wouldn't have ever got those scenes in a TV production of TSCC, and even on the big screen such a story could easily become lost in special effects. For me, TSSC was more about the characters, and I have found Bigbew's stories to have that. His writings remind me of the stories of my personal favorite writer, Elusive Sanity. I highly recommend his work.

Hey RB.
I really liked "I Wouldn't Be Worth Much If I Couldn't Feel," and I completely agree with you about TSCC and the characters. The characters and their stories are the only reason I watched it. I don't care much about action in these fanfics.

I am about half way through "Faith Isn't Part of My Programming." I still like Bigbew's characterizations. I never cared much for Sarah Connor on the show, as she never seemed to develop much beyond a one-note character of "burn metal," but in Bigbew's stories Sarah, while not being inconsistent with the character featured in the show, has grown and is a more interesting, sympathethic person. I like his Amy character, who is a cross between Savannah and Weaver. He also solved the problem of how do we get John out of the fix Born To Run left him in by starting his story before both that episode and the episodes where Charley and Derek are killed.
I just finished the chapter where John is freaked out by seeing Cameron's hand and arm in all its metal glory. I found his reaction to be reasonable. I love my wife, but if she suddenly touched me with nothing but bones.

I've just posted a little one shot. Just something to keep my mind ticking over while I work on INFYTU...what is it with me and long titles?

I read both "one shots" and enjoyed both, but I am really looking forward to more in INFYTU. Do you find this valuable?
